Astera
- Astera Computer Keyboard Shortcuts - Click here for a PDF of Astera PC Shortcuts.
- Astera Integrated Word Lists - You can press the Play button on the Audiometer Control Panel to play and score a word list according to the options you have chosen. However, you may choose to double-click on individual words in the list to present them on demand. This allows you to control the word order and presentation speed for difficult-to-test patients or word lists that don’t require scoring, like SRT.
- User Tests - Save specific word lists as User Tests so that you can easily set up the audiometer for pediatric word recognition (e.g., PBK-50) or adult word recognition (e.g., NU-6 list 2A) at the push of a button. Set your Scoring
and Playing options to “Play on Count” for speedy word recognition testing for any population!
- Start-up Settings - The most efficient way to select the startup settings for your OTOsuite software is to do so after creating your clinical battery of User Tests. Load the User Test that you will commonly use first, then go to Tools > Options and click on the “Save as Startup Settings” icon. When you open OTOsuite software, your settings will be ready for you to launch into testing!
Chartr VNG
- When to Use Monocular VNG Software
Monocular VNG testing should be used for any patient that has strabismus, blindness in one eye or a glass eye. This testing option is integrated into Chartr VNG software version 6.8 and later. The clinician can easily select when to use both cameras, the left eye only, or the right only from an on-screen icon. All monocular testing is done in the same manner as binocular testing, except only one camera is activated for data collection.
